My name is Darlene Johnson, and I have set up this account to help ease the burden of my dear friend and "Work Sister", Leigh Levesque. Leigh is an outstanding and extremely dedicated registered nurse who went above and beyond to support her patients and co-workers for the past 31 years. Over the last few months, Leigh has been dealing with a series of chronic health problems including worsening severe visual impairments. This profoundly affected her overall independence and the ability to perform her job duties. Because of this, she had to make the difficult decision to retire much sooner than planned. As a single mom to a college-age daughter, Leigh is trying to navigate life with the loss of her income, as well as dealing with the effects of severe visual impairment.
