Hi friends!! First and foremost thank you so much for even taking the time to read this. Thank you all that reached out to check in. This last gnarly storm wreaked havoc on our Village.
For those that don't know me my name is Josh Fisher and I own and operate Left Coast Sausage Worx and The Daily Grind Coffee & Bottle Shop here in Capitola Village. I also manage the Capitola Village Mercantile and Mercantile Arcade and am the Property Manager of the two public pay parking lots, 7 apartments and 14 small businesses.
This storm has affected us all!!! So many people did so much worse than I did!! I have been helping get people info they need and working with the City of Capitola and the Public Works dept and CPD and more.
They all have been Rockstars especially Public Works!!
I need some help and am kneeling down and asking for anything.
This December has been brutal for business and led to a crazy start to the new year followed by the several Bomb Cyclone Atmospheric River events that followed. As I'm writing this we're still not out of the woods as we have one more heavy round of wind, waves and rain coming this weekend...
Last week my Hotdog stand was about 16" underwater and coffee shop closed for a week with no power and water to the door but stayed dry. I lost part of my outdoor dining area and had some minor water damage. Luckily the sandbags held on both!! Some of my friends businesses did not do so well.
If you can please donate to CSCC to help the Village and those in need all around Santa Cruz County. Also look for other people's GoFundMe but be cautious and make sure it's from the business itself and not a random person.
If you can please donate here to help me and my family and my two businesses make it through these trying times.
I am looking for alternatives as well from FEMA and SBA and local organizations for grants and emergency loans but in the meantime I'm asking for help. If I secure any other funding I will use these funds to help the businesses most impacted by the storms...as there are many...
I hate doing this as I'm usually the one helping others but now the tables have turned and I am asking for help.
