Help Leezel receive life saving medical treatment
Donation protected
Leezel Rodriguez is a 15 year old student of Caye Caulker, Belize. In early 2020, Leezel was hospitalized at the Medical Association in Belize City with a rare blood disorder. Her blood count was extremely low, and she urgently required a blood transfusion. Doctors ran various tests and gave her treatment which subsided the illness temporarily.
Leezel’s condition continued to decline, and her family had to seek medical attention in Merida, Mexico. Again, she had to endure extremely painful tests and treatment in the hospital. She was eventually diagnosed with Thrombocytopenia, meaning she had a dangerously low platelet count. Platelets are imperative to help the blood to clot if a person is wounded, and a low count if extremely dangerous. She has been going back and forth for treatment in Merida, and each time it costs over $5000 USD.
Lately, she has not been doing well and now needs to return to Merida for more tests and to check on her condition. She is experiencing new symptoms which are making daily life uncomfortable.
Leezel’s family would like to thank all those who have helped tremendously in all past fundraisers; your donations and prayers were greatly appreciated. God bless you all.
This GoFundMe is being set up on Leezel’s behalf to help her get back to Merida for the much needed medical attention. God bless each and every one of you. May the Lord double your blessings in giving, for it is in giving that we receive more.
Thank you.
