GoFundMe Story – Help Leesha Reclaim Her Health After Cancer
“I believe in the kindness of others — not because life has always been kind, but because people still choose to be. That choice is what makes healing possible.”
— Leesha Morris
Hi, my name is Leesha Morris.
I'm a two-time breast cancer survivor, and after three years of chemotherapy, radiation, and countless hospital visits — I thought I was finally on the road to recovery. But chemo didn’t just fight the cancer — it devastated my teeth.
Now, I’m in severe dental distress. The damage has led to unbearable pain, infection, and exhaustion that has left me unable to work. I recently had an emergency dental visit and was told it will cost $4,000 to repair the damage and extract infected teeth — something I simply cannot afford on my own.
My Health Situation
I’m already fighting a lot:
- Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
- Tachycardia
- Asthma & Severe Allergies
- High blood pressure
- Severe sinus infections triggered by seasonal allergies
- And of course, the lasting effects of multiple rounds of cancer treatment
These conditions make every day an uphill battle. Even minor infections can become dangerous — and untreated dental issues put me at serious risk for heart complications and sepsis. I'm also on medications that suppress my immune system, so I can’t just “
Why I’m Asking for Help
I’ve always tried to be strong and independent. But right now, I can’t do this alone. I’m in constant pain. Eating is difficult. Sleep is broken. I’ve missed work. I can’t afford to let this go untreated, and I’m terrified it will land me in the hospital again — or worse.
Every dollar donated will go toward urgent dental work to remove infected teeth, manage the oral damage from chemotherapy, and help me return to health and stability.
How You Can Help
- $10, $25, or any amount can help me get closer to the emergency care I need.
- Sharing this with others means the world to me, too.
If you’ve ever been through a medical crisis or know someone who has — you know how much it costs, even when you’ve survived the hardest part. I made it through cancer. I just need a little help making it through this next fight.
From the bottom of my heart:
Thank you.
