I am Sally, Leen’s mother. I brought my daughter from Gaza to the United States with the biggest hope a mother can carry in her heart the hope of saving her child.

Leen has been fighting an aggressive leukemia with incredible courage. She has endured treatments, hospitals, pain, fear, and months of separation from her father and younger brother. We came here searching for a cure, but despite the incredible care she has received, her leukemia has continued to progress. My beautiful girl is now very ill.

Today, Leen is holding onto one wish: to make it to Egypt.

She hopes to continue the care available to her there, but in her heart, Egypt means being closer to Gaza and closer to home. Most of all, she is praying that she can hold on long enough for us to find a way for her father and little brother to reach Egypt so she can see them again.

As her mother, I cannot promise her this will happen. But I have to try.

I will be traveling with my children and starting over with almost nothing. I need help providing housing, food, transportation, schooling for my children, medical needs, and basic living expenses while I care for Leen and figure out what comes next for our family.

Please help me give my daughter this chance.
