Help Leeloo Fix Her Broken Femur

If you have been lucky enough to meet or work with Leeloo you know just how special she is. The best shop dog, the fastest (now retired) trail dog, the happiest water dog. Patient with kids and puppies, grateful for treats and belly rubs.

She has, of course, been slowing down as she gets older, but her love of outdoor adventures is unwavering.

Right now, she needs some help! On Thursday, June 12th Leeloo had a sudden break in her femur which sent her to the emergency vet. The amazing doctors at SAVES in Asheville have determined she needs surgery to either repair the break with a plate or, if the integrity of the bone is compromised, amputate her leg. Surgery is scheduled and for now, she is comfortable with us at home. This has been a pretty big blow, emotionally and financially and we are asking for help.

There has already been a $7700 deposit put down and the estimated total cost of all her treatment and surgery is $10,000. Anything at all helps! And we are so so grateful to everyone who also knows how special Leeloo is and how much she means to us and the community. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Let's get Leeloo back outside and on her feet again!
