Hi everyone, my name is Leelah, and I’m an incoming freshman at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. After working toward this moment for so long, I’m finally preparing to begin my college journey. I’m originally from Houston, Texas, and moving that far from home to attend school has brought more unexpected expenses and stress than I imagined. Between tuition, housing, transportation, moving costs, textbooks, school supplies, food, and everyday necessities, everything has added up very quickly.

I’m starting this fundraiser because I need a little help getting through this transition and making sure I can begin school on stable footing.
