Hi! I’m Lee-Elle Horowitz, an actor-musician in training at the Guildford School of Acting (GSA) - one of the top drama schools in the world, where we learn to cry beautifully, sing passionately, and pretend we’re not broke.
Training at GSA has been the best adventure of my life. It’s challenged me, inspired me, and shaped me into an artist with purpose, one who truly believes that theatre and music can heal, connect, and bridge cultures (and occasionally break into song mid-conversation).
But here’s the plot twist: the tuition fees are higher than my vocal range, and I’ve reached the part of the story where the heroine can’t make it to the finale without a bit of help.
I’m fundraising to cover my final year’s tuition, the last chapter before graduation. Until now, I’ve juggled multiple jobs, scholarships, and a heroic level of budgeting (I could write a cookbook called “Beans, But Make It Theatre”). My family has supported me as much as they can, but we can't do it alone. My current goal is £5500 on my way to raising £22000, an astronomical number for me in my current situation.
These past two years have been the most challenging of my life. Dealing with prejudice, isolation and Jewish hate, just because of who I am and where I'm from has shown me more than ever why the arts need strong Jewish voices to cut through the noise and create love through art. The world needs strong, joyful, unapologetic Jewish voices in the arts, to bring empathy, humour, and humanity where it’s needed most.
So here I am, asking kindly (and slightly dramatically) for your help to make it through the final act. Every bit of support I receive goes directly towards allowing me to finish my degree with focus, dignity, and the freedom to grow as an artist. I believe deeply in the power of theatre to tell human stories that unite instead of divide. My dream is to bring that spirit to the stage, to tell honest, nuanced, and deeply human stories that cross borders and spark understanding.
If you choose to support me, you’re not just funding a degree, you’re investing in an artist who is determined to give back, to share light and create art that connects, uplifts, and maybe makes people laugh when they least expect it.
Whether it’s £5, £50, or just sharing this page, your help genuinely means the world to me.
Thank you for being part of my story and for helping me make it to the curtain call.
With love, gratitude, and a well-rehearsed bow,
Lee-Elle
