update from Lee-Ann 5/5/2025: As I prepare to begin a whole new chapter in my life this week, I feel the need to make my diagnosis public. Mainly for the support & so I can freely joke/complain about it.
▫️To get right to it -
I have stage four colon cancer.
It had just started spreading so it’s a “new” stage four but, stage four. The surgeon removed a tumor in my colon the size of a spaghetti squash (which he thinks may have started while I was pregnant with Lola), removed my gallbladder which had cancer on it & attempted to remove part of my pancreas because it is forming a spot as well. The pancreas’ spot is forming on top of a blood vessel so he couldn’t safely remove that portion. I also have small spots just throughout my abdominal wall which that & my pancreas are causing all of my back pain. There is also a small blood clot in my leg thats being managed by blood thinners.
I see the oncologist for the first time on Wednesday to determine what type of therapy i’ll need. The chances of my cancer being genetic are pretty high since it runs on my dad’s side, so chemo isn’t the only option.
For now though, how I’m feeling? Defeated. Weak. Nauseous. In pain. Useless. But alive. I can’t really do a whole lot without feeling like I’m going to fall over or like my back is breaking. Ive lost almost 80lbs and am back down to prebaby weight before bronson. The surgeon is pretty confident that once I start treatment that i’ll become stronger & the pain will lessen.
So when we thank everybody from the bottoms of our hearts for the meals, the money, the gift cards, the amazon gifts, coming over to clean or help with laundry.. saying “thank you we appreciate you” just is not enough. Everybody has been amazing & so helpful so far & it’s been incredible.
Hi, my name is Autumn and I am raising funds for my cousin Lee-Ann and her family. Lee-Ann has been in the hospital for quite some time now battling a few health issues. She’s set up with an oncologist and they’re waiting on more results from some tests from the lab. Lee-Ann and her husband Ben have 4 amazing children to raise! Bronson-11, Kalvin-8, Drake-2, and Lola-6 months old. Since she’s been in the hospital, she hasn’t been able to work and the medical bills have been piling up. They unfortunately also need to purchase formula each week now since she can no longer breastfeed. This, we know, is expensive!
Lee-Ann is an amazing woman, mother, and friend. Anything helps her and her family. If you can’t donate, please give a share. Thank you for your time!
