LeeAnn has always been the kind of person who puts others first. For over 26 years, she’s worked in the mental health field, helping people cope with their challenges and cheering them on as they reach their goals—whatever those goals may look like. She’s also deeply involved in her church and has been a source of strength and understanding for so many, including me. When I struggled to understand my own daughter’s mental illness, LeeAnn was there to guide and support me.

Recently, LeeAnn’s life changed dramatically. Cataract and glaucoma made her virtually blind in just three months. She lost her ability to drive and needed immediate surgery, with a second surgery still pending. As the head of her household, raising a teen on the spectrum, every dollar she earns goes toward keeping a roof over their heads and food on the table. Now, with medical bills piling up and deductibles to pay, the financial stress is overwhelming.
