Help Lee White Fight Stage 4 Lung Cancer

As many of our friends and family know, in the early morning hours of September 25th, 2024, my husband, Lee White, had to be rushed to the hospital after weeks of suffering with extreme back and shoulder pain. That morning changed our lives forever. What started out as the hospital thinking it was only a case of pneumonia took a turn quickly. While getting a chest X-ray to look for pneumonia a large mass was found on the right side of his chest. He was immediately admitted into Maine Medical Center. After a biopsy, extensive testing, and a 9-day hospital stay, he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.

As most of you know, cancer is something that no one can really prepare for, especially someone that is only 43 years old.

The good news is we left the hospital with an appointment to start Chemotherapy the following week. Due to his recent diagnosis and upcoming chemotherapy, he has had to take a leave of absence from work. The unfortunate part is that I, as his wife, am a stay-at-home mom taking care of our adult disabled children, and now I will be helping my husband Lee take on and fight one of our biggest fights we have faced in the almost 28 years we have been together. That also means our family will be without an income as he was the one taking care of family finances. His biggest worry right now is finances and how his family will be cared for while he takes the time to work on getting healthy enough to hopefully return to work as soon as possible. Let’s help this amazing man, friend, husband and father fight this.
