My name is Lee Pedro. I am 76 and I was born and have lived in Cambridge, MA most of my life. I worked in Cambridge and Somerville in Human Services with seniors and families most of my life and never thought I would have to ask for help.

My car has been in repair since April and CarShield would not pay for a transmission, only for a gasket and cleaning. It still has $3,000 more in repairs that I can't pay for even if I wanted to. I can't even junk it because I need the title. I need to raise $2,000 just to be able to junk it.

I can't even park it because I live in CHA housing and it's not drivable and can't get a sticker until it is repaired. In order to move it with a rejection sticker and tire, I need $262.00, and that is only good for 90 days. I am asking, please help me raise at least $2,000 so I can pay it off and safely junk it.
