Hi! I'm Lee Bom Allen, and I'm a 20-year-old transgender/non-binary man. I've identified as transgender since I was about 13 years old, and I want to take the next step in my transition.
My transition journey has been a struggle, as my parents didn't initially accept my new identity and tried to convince me to abandon my new identity and keep suffering and living untruthfully as a girl, but over time they grew to mostly accept me for who I am. My mom now is generous enough to help me pay for my HRT, but refuses to help fund top surgery. My insurance is provided by the state (Utah) which doesn't cover transition at all
Top surgery has always been the goal of my transition; I have severe dysphoria when it comes to my chest, and I bound my chest for several years of my life. Due to the health complications that caused, I can no longer bind, and the only way for me to finally ease this burden would be getting top surgery. It would honestly change my life if I raise enough money to get this part of my life moving along, so please consider donating!
If you can spare even a dollar, I'll appreciate it more than words can describe. You are helping me take a step forward that will improve my physical and emotional health, and I can't thank you enough for that. The goal is an estimate, because right now this seems like such a faraway dream so I haven't contacted a doctor yet, but I have a few in mind. The goal might be raised once I get the actual cost, but any money I earn beyond that will be used to help my transition in other ways, like buying myself new clothes to suit my identity, and stuff like that.
