Our friend Lee Chernotsky and his family need our help.

They lived in a rent-controlled apartment in Los Angeles for over a decade, but were forced to leave without warning when toxic mold was discovered in the walls. It wasn’t just uncomfortable - they lost all of their belongings and have suffered from a variety of related illnesses, while also being out of work.

Since then, they have been trying hard to regain their footing. Until now, they have been able to stay with family nearby, but a recent medical diagnosis has made their current living situation untenable.

They urgently need to secure a new rental, and given the compounded challenges, do not have the money to do so. We’re raising funds to help them secure a safe, healthy home for their family of six as they find work and get back on track.
