In the past few weeks, Lebanon has been relentlessly bombed and attacked. Lebanese authorities have reported over a thousand deaths since March 2nd. A statement released said the dead included 79 women, 118 children, 40 healthcare workers. 2,584 people have been wounded in the attacks. More than 100 have been children. More than a million have been displaced, with children accounting for 1/3rd. Homes, businesses, and hospitals have been destroyed. Many people are sheltering wherever they can—schools, public buildings, or sometimes just out on the street. People are struggling to stay safe and have little to no access to things such as medicine, clothes, housing, etc. The money donated will go directly to families in need. When the last attacks happened, we raised over $1.6k and helped over 4,000 families. We are hoping to be able to help even more families this time. The money donated will help buy things such as medicine, housing, clothes, food, baby diapers/formulas, and period products. Daily things to us have become out of reach for most. Donations don't need to be big- every dollar counts.
ABOUT ME:
I'm a Lebanese-American with family scattered throughout West Asia. A good portion resides in Lebanon. Every day, I get updates on how much food costs, who has been injured, who lost their business or home, and who has died. And yet, my family has been lucky so far. We have had our losses, people we can never bring back. But there are other families who are suffering more than we can imagine. My family can still afford to eat. The majority of them have a roof over their head. Many families don't have that same luxury. People can no longer afford life-saving medicine. They have no food to eat. We have direct contact with people who can give resources to people in need.
We are fundraising to provide essential supplies and support to those affected by the attacks in Lebanon. We aim to help families who have lost their homes, businesses, and loved ones, and who are struggling to survive without basic necessities.
