Leanne (who plays under her band name Ellsy Wilde) is excited to announce that she is finally heading into a music studio in January 2026 to record her original songs in collaboration with a wonderful Producer, Joel Schwartz! Joel is an award winning Canadian Producer who has recorded many artists and helped catapult them into success by creating top notch productions of their music.

Music production is a long and meticulous process and doesn't happen overnight. In fact four songs will be recorded over a 5 month period, with many sessions of collaboration, mixing and mastering. The use of sophisticated recording equipment, soundproof rooms and engineers, plus the actual skill set of the Producer costs money.

I have applied for a recording grant from the Ontario Arts Council, but it falls short of funding the entire project. The OAC expects applicants to raise funds on their own as well. That is why I'm humbly reaching out to ask for any donation you can help me with. I don't get paid for creating and rehearsing my own songs and it is very time consuming, and I've put a ton of my best effort to create them, as well as invest in the music equipment to make it happen.

Now is the time for me to take the next big step and get my music out there onto the online platforms, expand my listening audience and generate more performance opportunities in venues and festivals!

So many of you, my family, friends and neighbours, have been my very first listeners as I set up on my driveway and played for you. Others, although you haven't been able to come in person, have supported me with your comments and likes on Facebook and Instagram. You have all been so enthusiastic, encouraging and tolerant (!) of my learning curve, and I am forever grateful that you've been with me thus far.
