Help Leanna Osisek Get Her Wings Back

Hello, my name is Julie and I am fundraising for my daughter Leanna, who is a 30-year-old smart, artistic, quirky, funny little soul who over the past 7 years has pursued her dream of aviation. Her passion began as a flight attendant with Delta, and through much hard work she eventually became a private pilot, a flight instructor, a charter pilot, and was most recently about to complete her transition to commercial airline 1st officer. She had been accepted into Delta’s very competitive Propel program and these were all requirements she was in the process of completing. 

Unfortunately, Leanna's plans hit major turbulence following a very serious car accident on 12/18/2021. Leanna suffered severe injuries including a traumatic brain injury that landed her in the ICU for the past 3 weeks. She is unable to communicate or make decisions at this time. This girl is a fighter! Her nickname given to her by friends is "Honey Badger" - a fierce little critter that is fearless, resourceful, unwavering and ferocious.

Leanna's "flight plan" going forward will be filled with ups and downs, obstacles mightier than any she has ever faced. Her recovery will be long and difficult...and expensive. Leanna was in the process of transitioning from her former job to her new job when this accident happened, and she fell into an insurance gap at the very worst possible time. Leanna has always been an extremely responsible person in all areas of her life, including managing her finances. She has even asked for financial planning books for Christmas! It would upset her to know that she needs to rely on others for help; however, many people who know Leanna's story have reached out and asked how they can help or donate to her care.

So I am asking on her behalf, because she is unable to speak for herself right now - any funds donated to this effort will go entirely toward her current and future medical needs and rehabilitation.
