Leanna is a truly special girl who has already overcome more than most face in their lifetime. At just 4 years old, she was diagnosed with severe hearing loss, which lead to delays in her speech and put her behind her peers socially and academically. Unfortunately, it also made her the target of bullying when she started school.
In 2017, tragedy struck our family when Leanna's father was suddenly and violently taken from us. As a widowed mother, I was faced with the overwhelming challenge of helping Leanna heal while finding a new sense of normal.
That's when Leanna discovered gymnastics – and everything changed.
At 8 years old, she found her passion. Gymnastics has not only given her a purpose, but its helped rebuild her confidence, self-esteem, and trust in others. It's been a powerful outlet for her emotionally, socially, and mentally – a place where she feels safe, accepted, and strong.
As a single mom, it's not easy to keep up with the rising costs of living, and gymnastics is an expensive sport. Between meet fees, coaching, apparel, and training, the financial strain is becoming difficult to manage. But I know how important this is for Leanna's growth, happiness, and healing.
We are reaching out to ask for your support to help keep Leanna on the path she loves so much. Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward her gymnastics expenses and help ensure she can continue chasing her dreams.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Leanna's journey!
