Help Leaky and Crash Honor America's Fallen Heroes

Well, Leaky and Crash are at it again! Our fifth - and likely final - cross-country motorcycle ride is all planned and we are ready to roll. We will take the entire month of June to ride from Salinas, CA to Lubec, ME and back. Across twenty-four states and 9,000 miles, we will be presenting KIA Honor Flags to American Legion posts as we go.

These flags will be dedicated to the fallen heroes of the area in which each post is located. KIA Honor Flags are a symbol of our recognition of the sacrifice that has been made over the years to keep our country safe and secure. In this way, we remember the men and women who have served - and died - defending the United States.

We are grateful for the support already shown by American Legion Post 31, the American Legion Auxiliaries of District 28, and Chapter 85 of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) in Monterey County. Their financial support will help us complete this mission.

And we could always use a bit more help with expenses. Even five dollars will assist us in putting gas in the tanks; twenty dollars will fill a tank. We are frugal with expenditures, staying in low-priced motels and eating on the cheap, usually only two meals daily.
