Leah is an incredible little girl who lives with a rare genetic disorder called KCNQ2. Her parents, Rachel and Steve, do everything they can to support Leah’s progress, from daily care routines to therapies, appointments, and giving her joyful experiences in the world.
Transportation is one of their biggest challenges. Leah’s wheelchair isn’t compatible with their current van, so every outing—whether to appointments or family time with her sister Hannah—requires lifting her heavy chair and transferring her in and out of a car seat. It’s uncomfortable for Leah and increasingly unsafe as she grows. Rachel and Steve purchased their van with the goal of modifying it for her needs and have spent over a year securing all possible funding, but there’s still a significant cost remaining to make it fully wheelchair accessible.
The Goal
We’re raising funds to convert their van for full wheelchair accessibility — with a ramp, secure tie-downs, and modifications so Leah can stay safely in her chair during travel. This will make daily life easier, safer, and more comfortable for her and her family.
Any amount you can contribute helps bring them closer to that goal. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign with others makes a big difference too.
Thank you for helping Leah travel safely, surrounded by the love and support she deserves.
