I'm fundraising for my daughter Leah Karaban to help cover funeral expenses for her father, Raymond M. Karaban who passed away unexpectedly last night at the age of 58. Ray was a wonderful father, son, brother and uncle who touched the lives of those around him. As some of you may know, Ray has been on disability due to workforce injuries for many years, which is why Leah needs some help to give him a proper goodbye and honor his memory.
She would like me to share that she loved him deeply and he always had a way to make her smile when she was down. He visited her in the hospital last week after she had surgery and he brought her comfort. She did not know those would be their last moments.
Ray was a character- he was very outgoing and made everyone laugh. His greatest loves were Leah, his family, fishing, and his many friends. A recent memory Leah shared was how they loved to play mini-golf and had fierce competitions - she will cherish these memories. Ray was so very proud of Leah when she graduated in May with her Master's Degree. She is currently looking for work and he would have been so happy to see all her accomplishments and cheer her on.
At this time we do not know why he passed but he was receiving care for some medical issues.
These funds will go towards funeral expenses. We need to raise as much as we can as soon as possible to be able to plan the funeral service.
Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help our family during this difficult time.
Thank you so much.
