Help Leah and their dog go home

My friend Leah’s student visa from Johns Hopkins has expired and despite being a fantastic school counselor that has served public school kids in Baltimore and DC for over 3 years, they are now facing deportation.

Leah's personal savings have been entirely drained by a year-long struggle to find an employer willing to sponsor their visa. Now, their family in China is facing a financial crisis and is unable to provide support. At this point, after losing their housing, they cannot afford to stay in this country any longer.

The goal of this fundraiser is to help them get a plane ticket back to China along with the only companion that has provided them stability and affection in the US: their beloved dog Li Meimei, aka Delulu. “I just need some money so I can go back to where I came from,” they joked.
