My name is Lea I’m 30 yrs old .
On March 6th, I went to the emergency room because I was experiencing chest pain. After testing, doctors admitted me to the hospital due to a high heart rate and an ejection fraction of only 40%.
On March 9th, I was taken into the cardiac catheterization lab where doctors discovered multiple blockages in all three of my arteries. I was diagnosed with severe multivessel coronary heart disease along with small vessel disease. Because of how serious my condition is, no local hospitals felt comfortable performing the procedures my heart requires.
On March 13th, I was transferred to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where I will be undergoing several procedures and possible surgeries. At this time, doctors are unsure how long I will need to remain here as they work to treat my heart condition.
During this time, I’m asking for help to cover unexpected medical expenses, as well as travel and lodging costs for my family. My family lives about two hours away, but they have always been my biggest support system and being able to have them nearby during this difficult time means everything to me.
After I’m discharged, I will also need to travel back to the hospital for multiple follow-up appointments and continued care.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial stress during this medical journey so I can focus on healing. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others would mean just as much.
Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support during this challenging time.
