Help LC's Vet Bills
Donation protected
I'm fundraising for my not-so-little Little Cat (LC) to help with her upcoming vet bills. I adopted her about 5 years ago: extremely overweight (~27lbs), a rotting tooth causing infected ears, dandruff and a greasy coat, etc. Since I've adopted her she has lost ~13lbs and is overall living a much happier life with (mostly) better teeth, daily grooming, and lots more care and attention. As her previous owner told me when I brought her to the vet for her rotting tooth "I never bring my pets to the vet because they always lie to you for unnecessary procedures"...
This obviously doesn't mean her health is perfect: she was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism last year which we've managed to keep under control, as well as a reoccuring UTI. She now has two more teeth that need removal, but before that she needs a echocardiogram due to the discovery of arythmia (galloping hearbeat) to be sure she can be put under anesthesia. Long-term hyperthyroidism can be toxic to her heart, but we are hoping we began to get it under control in time. Below is a list of the costs to be, or already, incurred:
Geriatric health screening (blood, urine, heart enzyme): $240
Echocardiogram: $750
Urine culture: $240
Antibiotic shot: $75
Dental work: Estimate of $1,010-1,480 or more if more problem teeth are found
The total could potentially reach ~$3,000. I love this cat with every fiber of my being and she has provided me so much joy in life and I want to do everything I can to give her a comfortable life. I was trying to work overtime +selling crochet items to help pay for it but it just simply will not cover it all.
