Help Laz Martinez teach English to recent US Immigrants

Hi Everyone,

I am volunteering six hours per week at Lighthouse Charities in Las Vegas teaching English to recent immigrants to the US. LC also offers job skills training (which I'm contributing to as well), a food pantry, and retail bakery operated by the team. Take a look at https://www.lighthousecharities.net/.

We have client students of all adult ages coming from all over the world: Ukraine, Afghanistan, Africa, Middle East, Central and South America, Cuba and more. They’re all here to be free and live the American dream! This type of work has been something I’ve been wanting to do since as an immigrant myself 50+ years ago learning to speak English was a key part of my family’s success in the US.

LC needs help raising money for English language books. Our books are mostly donations from schools and houses of worship, yet we don’t have the sufficient funds to provide books to each client student. This is what we want to impact.
