Hi friends,
as you may or may not know, Layla went through a major abdominal surgery to remove a large, rapidly-growing tumor in late November. She is unable to work for at least 8 weeks, and if not more depending on the test results. We recently found out that the tumor is called an immature teratoma (essentially, a rare and cancerous ovarian tumor) and it has been sent to Stanford for more testing. She is on bed rest right now and unable to do a lot of things, especially work.
The test results will determine the stage and grade of the cancer, and future of Laylas ability to return to life as normal, and are TBD.
It’s hard to ask, but we need your help. From all of the medical bills from staying in the hospital for a few days, needing follow up appointments and testing, to being unable to work for such a long time, the financial situation has become overwhelming. With things happening so fast with Laylas health, we had no time to prepare for this.
As uncomfortable as it is to ask, we’re hoping for our community’s help to support rent, medical/hosptial bills, follow up appointment costs, and basic living needs like food and necessities.
If you’re able to contribute or share, we would majorly appreciate it!
Thank you for your help in supporting Layla as she focuses on recovery for the long weeks ahead.
A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has already visited in the hospital or at home, brought food and necessities by and kept her company. This is one of the hardest things we have been through and we couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you. ❤️ Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The support has meant the world to us and we just have to keep it going a bit longer. We know she will beat this!
