Help Layla with medical bills

Hello, my name is Heather Hall. My husband and I own a small hamburger restaurant in Valley center Kansas.

We are doing a fundraiser to help a long time employee with medical bills related to renal failure.

Layla has worked with us for 13 years. We also have her mom and her daughter working with us.

she and her family are very special . Just like family. Layla called in to work on Thursday the 9th . Haylee (Layla’s daughter ) covered her shift.

On Friday December 10th Haylee called me to come over and see her mom. I have been a staff nurse at ascension via Christi since 1996. Taking one look at Layla I knew she was in trouble. We called 911. Her blood pressure was low, pulse high, and she was Totally unresponsive. When she got to the hospital it was found that she was in kidney failure related to obstructive kidney stones. She also was septic. Layla had surgery on Friday and was transported to the Cticu at Ascension st Francis. When I was able to see her Sunday she was on a ventilator. Not breathing on her own because she was in a medically induced coma. Allowing for her body to fight. She is on daily dialysis at this point. Never really having any problems with her kidneys this was unexpected. We pray that the infection will get under control and her kidneys will be able to survive. Today (Wednesday). She is off of the ventilator but her kidneys still struggle. She remains in the ICU. Please help with what ever you can.. even if it’s just a prayer. Thanks so much. We really do love Layla and we just don’t want her to struggle with her bills because she got a kidney stone. I will keep you posted.
