Layla is our playful, loving French bulldog who joined our family as a Christmas gift for our three children in November 2023. From the moment she arrived at just eight weeks old, she brought endless energy, sass, and joy into our home. She’s only two and a half years old, still so young and full of life, and has always been a constant source of happiness for our family.
Recently, we noticed Layla becoming less active and more disconnected. She started stumbling around the house and walking with weak legs. About two weeks ago, we found her stuck on our stairs, unable to climb up anymore. Concerned, we took her to the vet, where she was diagnosed with IVDD. The vet explained that she’s lost sensation in her four limbs, but thankfully, she still has deep pain sense—a hopeful sign, but one that could change quickly if she doesn’t get the care she needs. Layla now requires urgent surgery, strict crate rest, and ongoing medication to prevent her condition from worsening.
The cost of surgery and post-operative care is overwhelming for our family. We simply can’t afford this on our own, and we’re reaching out to our community for help. Every donation will go directly toward Layla’s surgery, medical bills, therapies, and recovery care. Your support means the world to us and could give Layla the chance to live a happy, healthy life with the family who loves her so much. Thank you for considering helping Layla—any amount truly makes a difference.
