Help Layla Heal: Urgent Medical Support Needed

Hi, I’m Dany and this is my baby Layla. She’s my amazing companion and support, been with me for the past 8 years. I found her on the streets alone and the rest has been more than amazing, up until 6 years ago. She’s an 8-year-old with a teenager’s heart, loves people, kids, and gets along with any dogs or animals in general. She has been my driving motivational companion since day one along with my late Romeo who passed in 2021 due to kidney failure. RIP Romeo

I’m here to ask for your help urgently for my baby, she’s very sick. She has a growth on the right eye the size of a bean that is causing her pain and discomfort because it bleeds all the time. In addition to that, she also has an ear infection, hip dysplasia on the right side, she can barely walk. She also has a problem eating, she can’t chew her food properly because she has a really bad tooth. Recently, she’s been eating grass a lot, which is a clear indication that she’s not happy at all. She’s a happy and well-trained companion, I can honestly say that she has saved me many times over in many ways.

I would like to give you a bit of information about Layla's father, me . That way it will be easy for you to understand why I’m here asking for your help. I love animals but dogs have been a big part of my life since I was a little boy. Their unconditional love is unmatched, a love that allows me to give myself a second chance to become a better version of myself. That’s why I can’t just leave her behind in a shelter. My Layla taught me discipline, she gives me another reason to not quit and keep going until the job is done. My job with her is not done yet. As of right now, we are experiencing tough times. I can face anything in life alone but when you are trying to get back on your feet with a very sick pup, it’s almost impossible to do it alone.

It’s breaking my heart because I can’t even get a job while she’s sick because I have no one to take care of her while I’m working. Every “friend” I asked can’t help because they all have their own life’s problems and her being sick doesn’t make it easier to take care of her. I’m begging you to please help my baby, as soon as she gets better I can focus on work to get my life back to balance as it was six years ago.

For the past 6 years, my life has been a nightmare, very unstable. All this is because my immigration paperwork has expired and without proper documentation, it forced me to do odd jobs to renew them but these jobs don’t pay much. I feel like I’m running a race that I know in my heart I will win but when you are running against time, life can be brutal and test you to break your will and your spirit. I can’t quit, I wasn’t built that way, but I’m also aware that I can no longer fight this particular battle without your help.

Please help my baby, I will donate whatever money is left to go fund me! I just wish that my baby dies in my arms of old age, not in a shelter because of my circumstances.
