Layla is a bright, creative 12-year-old with a heart that never quits. She loves animals—especially cats—and spends her days cheering, golfing, and playing volleyball and softball for her school at National Trail. When she’s not on the field, she’s drawing anime characters or dreaming up her next art project.
Two years ago, Layla survived a devastating house fire that changed her life forever. Despite everything she’s faced, she’s worked hard to rebuild her confidence and joy. She had just returned to her favorite sports and school activities after recovering from a concussion—finally feeling like herself again.
Then, on October 24, 2025, tragedy struck. While helping at a local haunted event she loved being part of, Layla’s costume caught fire from a nearby barrel. She suffered severe burns covering over 25 percent of her body and now faces a long, painful recovery involving surgeries, skin grafts, and rehabilitation.
Her caregivers are by her side every step of the way as she heals, but the costs of medical care, travel, and time away from work are overwhelming. Through it all, Layla’s strength and courage continue to inspire everyone who knows her.
This fundraiser will help cover Layla’s ongoing medical treatment, recovery expenses, and other essentials needed to support her journey toward healing.
If you’re able, please consider donating to help Layla through this unimaginably difficult time. And if you can’t give, sharing her story helps more than you might think.
Let’s come together to help Layla get back to doing what she loves—creating, cheering, golfing, and spreading the light that’s always defined her
