Help Lay Yury to Rest

Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that Yury Tatarinov unexpectedly passed away this week after suffering a massive heart attack Thursday evening.

Yury was one-of-a-kind. A strong, smart, resourceful, and stubborn Russian with a heart of gold who was always there for any of us who needed him, day or night.

He was one of the first participants, 10 years ago, in Elliman's "Ride for Love" when riders would ride 100 miles from Manhattan to Atlantic City in the chilly October weather....not easy. Yury recently joined The John Lawrence team at Compass after many years in both Halstead and Douglas Elliman's west side offices.

Yury loved real estate, NYC, tennis, a good vodka, photography, riding his bike and galleries, but most of all he loved his only child, Ruddy, who was by his side when he passed.

Ruddy is a wonderful young man whose dream is to complete nursing school. He is an exceptional human being and a very dear soul; he made his dad very proud.

Yury had many strengths, but he was not good at handling his money. Ruddy is a student, and there is no money to lay him to rest.

I put together this GoFundMe in honor of Yury's memory and to help Ruddy.

On Sunday, December 4th at 4pm we will gather at PROHIBITION (503 Columbus Ave @ 83rd Street) to share a drink and remember Yury. We encourage you to share a Yury story. There are many funny and sweet ones.

Please email me and let me know if you would like to attend so we can get an idea of a head count. [email redacted]

Stay safe out there ❤️.
