My name is Sherria Flournoy and we are raising funds for our father, Robert Thomas Flournoy, who was born December 4th, 1946 in Minden, Louisiana. Robert served our great nation as a member of the United States Army with military honors, he fought in the Vietnam War, and he was dedicated and passionate about his work at Chrysler-Behr (from which he originally retired) and Wilberforce University, where he worked in the Environmental Services Department prior to transitioning into his second retirement within the last couple of years. He passed away unexpectedly on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 12th, leaving behind five beautiful daughters, seven grandsons, three lovely granddaughters, and six great-grandchildren.
Shortly after his passing, we were devastated to find that we were unable to recover his life insurance policy; upon which we would have been able to draw from to help cover the funeral expenses. With his funeral fast-approaching in just two weeks, the Flournoy family is determined to do all that we can to honor his legacy with a proper Funeral Service where our beloved veteran, father, and "PawPaw" can be laid to rest at the National Cemetery, following a lovely service at his local church home in Dayton, Ohio.
