Craig tragically passed away on or around the 6th of October of 2025. The coroner of San Bernardino county in California hasn't given me, His only son, a definitive date or time of death yet because I cant afford to have him cremated. Craig was a veteran, noting service during Vietnam in the United States Coast Guard on rotation to the North Pole. Beyond his service, he was a devoted father to me and a loving husband to my mother, Christina, always striving to provide for and support our family. My dad died at home, holding my mothers hand. However, Hospice never came to check on them and my father began to rapidly decompose lying in bed next to my mom until they were discovered and my mother was rescued by emt's days later. Since then all I've wanted is to lay my father to rest and give my mom some peace but I fell on hard times of my own and cant afford to pay out for a cremation. The County of San Bernardino is trying to refer this to Abandonment allowing them to take his house and sell it without any input from my mother or I to cover his expenses. Id like to refrain from doing that if possible.
