I am starting this GoFundMe in hopes of having a funeral for my Uncle Mike. He is the only living piece of my mom we have left. Uncle Mike is my mom's only brother. He had a heart attack on Thursday, and it is not known how long it was between that heart attack and resuscitation. He is currently at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital on life support. My brother and I will be going to the hospital tomorrow morning to say our goodbyes and take him off. One of the hardest things in the world is having to choose to take someone you love off of life support. I had to do just that for my mom going on 9 years ago, and now her baby brother has me having to make a hard decision again. Mike was a great uncle and great support to us in many difficult times in our lives. We had so many future plans we will never be able to see to fruition. I will miss our talks and having someone that knew my mom as a kid, hearing stories about the mischievous things they did together. I will miss his love and support the most. My Uncle Mike does not have any burial plans and doesn't have the money for a funeral. I would like for him to be laid to rest with the loving touch he also gave to his family. I can't afford to pay for his final arrangements on my own. Any help you all could give would be enormously appreciated.
