Our beautiful son, Tyler, was taken from us in a way no family should ever have to endure. Last night, Tyler lost his life after bravely stepping in to help following a hit-and-run. In his effort to hold the driver accountable, Tyler took photos of the man and his vehicle. Tragically, the driver responded with violence, shooting Tyler multiple times and stealing his phone to destroy the evidence. Our family is devastated beyond words. Tyler had a beautiful heart and soul—he was always ready to help anyone in need, and he died acting out of kindness and courage. The only comfort we have is knowing Tyler was a saved Christian, and I believe he is now with his Savior. My precious boy did not deserve this, and I pray that justice is served so no other family has to suffer this pain.

As we try to process this unimaginable loss, we are faced with the immediate need to cover funeral arrangements and other expenses for our family. The suddenness of Tyler’s passing has left us unprepared for these costs, and we are reaching out for help during this difficult time.
