Hey everyone, as many of you know my dad, Tommy Strong Sr. passed away on December 21st 2024.
My dad was honestly one of the most kind, caring, funny, great guy. Maybe you knew him from working the coal mines, when he was roofing, from the flea markets, or his various chickens he raised.
When dad stepped on a nail years back he lost most of his income and had to live on 1060.00 a month and with all of his health issues life insurance was just out of the question. I myself work a job making 8.75 an hour while my mom was spent the last years taking care of dad, we have no savings at all due to bills and unexpected issues arising.
I guess what I'm asking is if my dad ever made you smile, helped you in some way, or anything of nature I would appreciate the help in laying my dad to rest. My dad had pride and never asked for anything, I like to feel like I got that from him, so this is one of the hardest things I've ever had to post.
I'd like to list a couple of our favorite memories or things we did just to help myself getting a little more peace. I remember when our house burned down and he literally rebuilt the whole inside with the help of family and friends, but he also made sure I had 12 power sockets in my room for everything electronic. I remember getting up at 4am on Saturdays to load up Chickens to take to the stock yard sale, or even the time he broke his leg and cut the cast off the next day.
I want to honestly thank you all for the kind prayers and well wishes. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for you all.
