Help Tiana’s Father Give His 14-Year-Old Daughter a Memorial & Cremation
2,000 Goal | Every Donation Helps Bring Her Home
A Father’s Heartbreaking Loss On March 26th, tragedy struck.
Tiana English, a beautiful 14-year-old girl from Cincinnati who recently moved to Columbus, lost her battle with depression. In the early hours of the morning, she died by suicide on I-271 Southbound. News coverage of the heartbreaking event can be found here
Her family is devastated. Now her father, who has already suffered the loss of Tiana’s mother just a few years prior, faces the unimaginable pain of trying to lay his daughter to rest without the means to do so.
Why We’re Asking for Help
Tiana’s father used nearly all of his savings trying to rebuild their lives after a recent apartment fire an earlier tragic event connected to the mental health challenges Tiana had been battling.
When this newest tragedy struck, he was left without the financial means to cover even a basic cremation, let alone a simple memorial service.
Currently, Tiana’s remains are still at the coroner’s office, awaiting positive DNA results. Without funds, her father won’t be able to claim her remains and bring her home.
Our community is coming together to raise $2,000 to cover:
Cremation expenses
A modest memorial service to honor Tiana’s short but meaningful life Any additional funds raised will go toward youth suicide prevention to help other families avoid such loss.
Tiana’s Story A Life Gone Too Soon
Tiana was a loving daughter and a 9th-grade student at Walnut Ridge High School in Columbus, Ohio.
Despite facing years of bullying at school and severe mental depression, she remained resilient and hopeful. But like too many young people facing invisible battles, she eventually felt that the only escape from her pain and to stop being a burden on those she loved was to end her own life.
In her final moments, she sat quietly along a busy highway, thinking there was no other way out.
No child should ever feel that way. No parent should ever bear this weight alone.
⏳ Why This Matters & Why We Need Help Quickly
Tiana’s father has missed work while grieving and arranging new housing, creating a critical loss of income.
Cremation and memorial services must be arranged quickly after DNA confirmation.
Our goal is to complete the cremation and hold a memorial before Memorial Day, allowing her family and friends to honor her and begin healing.
