My father, Thomas E. Meirose, died unexpectedly and tragically on Monday, April 27, 2026 as a result of cardiac arrest. He was driving at the time of the heart attack, which caused a car accident. His car was totaled and a telephone pole was toppled as a result. This sudden loss has left me feeling overwhelmed and unsure of how to move forward. My mother passed away eight years ago at the age of 53, and I do not have siblings, so I am facing this difficult time alone.

Unfortunately, my father did not have life insurance, and I do not have the means to cover funeral expenses. To make matters worse, I discovered that the car insurance had lapsed just two weeks prior to the accident, which means there will likely be significant costs to replace the telephone pole. The financial burden is heavy, and I am doing my best to take things one day at a time, checking off the many boxes that need to be addressed as I go through this process.

I come from a proud family and do not like to ask for this type of assistance, but I don't know how else to get over this hurdle. Any donation will be extremely appreciated.
