My little sister, Teonnie Tillman, was taken from us far too soon on July 5th, 2026, at only 17 years old. Teonnie was an incredibly loving, outgoing, and amazing young woman. She lit up every room she walked into with her bright smile and warm personality. She was the kind of person who made friends everywhere she went, always lifting others up and spreading joy. Her love for family and friends was endless, and she brought so much light and happiness to everyone around her. On the night of July 4th, Teonnie was celebrating at a 4th of July party when a fight broke out between two individuals. The fight escalated inside the house, and one of the individuals started shooting into the home. My little sister was struck by a stray round in her shoulder. Bystanders and loved ones immediately jumped in to help — they performed CPR and did everything they could to resuscitate her until EMS and police arrived. Tragically, around 12 AM on July 5th, Teonnie passed away. The suspect who shot my sister has been arrested.
Our family is heartbroken and not in a financial position to cover the cost of a proper funeral and burial.
