We are reaching out during one of the most painful times in our lives, the passing of Tammy Hawbaker, a beloved wife, mother of three, and living testament to the power of prayer, perseverance, and unconditional love.

Tammy was nothing short of a miracle. After surviving 26 strokes, she slipped into a coma and was removed from life support. But Tammy wasn't finished. She defied all odds and woke up, gifting her family five more precious years filled with love, laughter, and grace.

Her husband, Mike Hawbaker, devoted every moment of those five years to being her full-time caretaker. Their love story became an inspiration to many, so much so that Mike penned their journey in his powerful book, "In Sickness & In Health: Chronicles Of A Stroke - A True Story of What It Leaves Behind, the Amazing Power of Collective Prayer & Moments Science Cannot Explain."

Now, as Mike and their children grieve her loss, they face an unexpected and heartbreaking barrier: Tammy’s remains will not be released by the funeral home until the $3,000 balance is paid in full.
