My father, Super Chief Cosmas Ekwueme Nwerem, passed away unexpectedly in Nigeria. I am his youngest son, and this loss has been deeply painful for our entire family.

My wife, our three children, and I live in Texas. We are raising funds to travel home to Nigeria so we can be with our family, honor my father’s life, and give him the final farewell he deserves.

As a family of five, the cost of international travel, baggage, transportation, and our contribution toward the funeral and burial arrangements is more than we can manage on our own.

My father was more than a respected community leader. He was my father, our children’s grandfather, and someone whose presence meant so much to our family.

His passing was sudden, and we never imagined we would have to say goodbye this way. His grandchildren were looking forward to seeing him again, which makes this loss especially difficult.

Being able to return home and stand with our family during this important moment would mean more to us than words can express.
