My name is Jeremy, and I recently lost my mom, Sue Nation, very suddenly on June 14, 2025. My mom was a selfless and strong-willed person who faced mental health challenges but always found a way to connect with others. She had an infectious personality and was the only person who ever gave me unconditional love. Her loss is something I can never replace, and it has left a deep void in my life.
Right now, I am working with my Rabbi to find an affordable mortuary and arrange a proper funeral service for my mom. The costs include transportation, preparation, a burial plot, and a service. I am securing a loan to cover these expenses, but as the sole provider for my household, the financial burden is overwhelming. My wife is currently out of work, and I have been forced to take contract jobs that have made our financial situation even more challenging. We are struggling to keep up with bills and other responsibilities, and this unexpected loss has made things even harder.
I have never asked for help like this before, but I am overwhelmed and unsure how to move forward. The stress of arranging everything and managing the financial side has made it difficult to properly grieve. I received the call about my mom’s passing late at night, and seeing her at the hospital was the hardest thing I have ever done. I know that being able to lay my mom to rest with dignity will help me and my family begin to heal. Any support you can offer will make a meaningful difference and help us take the first step toward healing.
