Help Lay Steven Cooke to Rest

Hello everyone. My name is Heather. I am creating this gofundme for my late Uncle Steven Cooke. My Uncle Steven unexpectedly passed away today. He just left a doctor's appointment at Mercy Hospital when one block away he collapsed and had a massive heart attack. Unfortunately they were not able to revive him after an hour of attempting life-saving measures. Our family has reached out to Charles L. Steven's Funeral Home at 1501 E. Fort Ave to make arrangements for a 1 day layout and cremation. The total is $5,400, hoqever we are trying to raise at least the initial down payment of $1,900 and work out the remaining balance in payments. We will try to raise money through this GoFundMe BUT donations can also be made directly to the Funeral Home as well. Steven is an "old head" as many would say. He has had a life of struggles but throughout it all he always remained a good person. I have so many good memories I will always cherish as many that knew him would agree. It seemed like Steven finally beat the odds and was doing soo great. We were all so proud of him. Steven did not have any previous heart conditions so as you may guess this has come as a huge shock. We were definitely not prepared for his passing as he was in pretty good health besides back issues. Steven's brother Gene and two sisters Pearl and Margaret are absolutely heartbroken and shattered to lose their brother. The four of them grew up so close. I'm going to miss you Uncle Steven! We all are! Now you are at peace with your mom (Maw Maw) who was your entire world!
