Help Lay Steve Stein Sr to Rest with Dignity
Donation protected
We are starting this fundraiser to help our long time friends Steve and Cecily Stein put their father, Steve Stein Sr. to rest in the proper way he deserves.
Steve Sr. has battled with addiction throughout most of his life but had been doing great and had clean time for years prior to the passing of his mother in October. His family was so proud to finally have him back again but unfortunately once his mom got sick he had a really hard time ignoring his demons. Once she passed Steve lost his best friend (everyone knows how close Mary Jane & Steve Sr. were). Steven & Cecily have been doing everything in their power to help their father get back on his feet the past couple months and although they were happy to do so, it has been financially stressful on the both of them to support him. Steve Sr. didn’t have any life insurance or savings and they just want to be able to cover his end of life costs.
Steve Sr. was an amazing creator & wood-worker, he was truly one of a kind. He had the most thought provoking, imaginative mind, if an idea came to him he would make it come to life with his innovative thinking. If you could think it, Steve could build it without a detail missing. What he could build with his hands was a rare gift. Steve saw the value in things others did not. He would take a pile of scrap wood or metal and make it into a beautiful functioning clock or a replica of the Ben Franklin Bridge with every detail down to a tee (true story, he did this).
There is nothing more he loved than spending time with his kids Steve Jr. & Cecily, while sharing his passion for design together. Time was non-existent when they were together, building things from a cat tower for Cecily’s fur babies to a guitar stand for all of Steve Jr’s “axes”. Steve Sr loved his family more than life itself, that is one thing that could never be questioned.
Steve suddenly passed away on Saturday, July 13th and is survived by Jessica Stein and their two children; Steve Jr and Cecily, siblings; Christopher & Mary Jane, nephews; Jonathan, Jack & Jonathan Jr.
Any help is greatly appreciated and 100% of donations will go to Mr. Stein Sr’s end of life arrangements.
Specifics including date and time are tentative. Details to follow.
