Hello family and friends, my name is Angie Slover. I am raising money to help my dear friends Steve and Laurrie. Steve passed away on Saturday August 2nd, due to complications with his heart. He spent 3 weeks in ICU. He is survived by his partner in life, Laurrie. I am hoping to raise enough funds for Steve's funeral and memorial and to help Laurrie get on her feet in this new chapter without him. Anything helps, even $5.

Steve Romero was larger than life! He made you feel from the minute you met him. He loved, loved, loved his girl, his animals, his customers and his job at Tractor Supply, his friends ... He was the kind of person who you were excited to see and talk with. He could tell you stories for days! He was loyal, honest and fair. And he loved to BBQ. Laurrie and Steve moved to the Oroville area from Freemont after his mom passed away in 2021, to be in the country and enjoy the simple life. When he passed, they were getting on their feet, fixing their home up, Laurrie in school for medical billing, Steve at Tractor Supply; things were just starting to look up.

You can never tell when things will take a turn for the worst, and it really has. We need your help to lay Steve to rest and get Laurrie situated so she can begin to manage things on her own.
