Help Lay Shikiya Gregory to Rest in Baltimore, MD
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,
It is with profound sadness that I share the devastating loss of my beloved daughter, Shikiya Gregory. At just 17 years old, Shikiya was a shining light in our live—a true warrior who faced life’s challenges with unmatched courage and a radiant smile.
Born prematurely, Shikiya battled Sickle Cell Disease and later Castleman’s Disease, showing incredible resilience despite spending much of her life in and out of hospitals. Her strength inspired everyone who knew her. Tragically, her last battle began with a stomach virus and fever that escalated into seizures. She was flown to the Critical Care Unit at Children’s Hospital of Atlanta, where doctors delivered the heartbreaking news of severe, irreversible brain damage. On December 31, 2024, Shikiya transitioned, leaving an irreplaceable void in our hearts.
I now face the unimaginable task of laying my precious angel to rest. My deepest wish is to take Shikiya home to Baltimore, MD, where she can be surrounded by the love and memories of her hometown. However, without an insurance policy to cover the expenses of her burial and transportation from Atlanta, GA, I need your help.
No donation is too small—every dollar will go directly toward honoring Shikiya’s memory with the beautiful and peaceful farewell she deserves.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your love, support, and prayers during this difficult time. Your kindness means the world to our family as we navigate this unbearable loss.
With deepest gratitude,
Niketa Gregory
