Shakajia, lovingly known as NuNu, was a humble, sweet, and kind-hearted young woman who touched the lives of everyone around her. She was attending school in Kennesaw, working hard toward her RN BSN, and was set to graduate this year. As a loving sister and a mother figure to her sibling, she was always there when her family needed her most. Her niece and nephew adored her, and she would give the shirt off her back to help anyone in need. NuNu's intelligence, warmth, and generosity made her a bright light in the lives of those who knew her.

Tragically, Shakajia's life was changed after meeting the wrong person, and on Friday, she was supposed to return home but never made it. The loss of such a smart and loving young woman has left a deep void in our family and community. We are now facing the heartbreaking task of saying goodbye and making arrangements to lay her to rest.
