It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Serenity Rudell Glover, who transitioned on April 10, 2025, at the young age of 24. Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, Serenity was a radiant light who touched countless lives with her resilience, warmth, and infectious smile.
Serenity was more than a fighter—she was a warrior queen. She battled lifelong medical conditions, including:
• Spina Bifida
• Hydrocephalus
And yet, Serenity never let her diagnoses define her. She danced. She smiled. She lived with purpose. Her determination, courage, and radiant energy inspired everyone around her.
Serenity’s death was completely unexpected. Healthcare providers had just reassured her family that she was stable. Her passing has left her loved ones in shock—and without financial resources to provide the farewell she truly deserves. Serenity is currently still at the county morgue as the family urgently searches for a compassionate funeral home that will work with them financially while maintaining Serenity’s dignity and grace.
Her mother, a powerhouse of love and service, is now facing this unimaginable loss. She has worked tirelessly her entire life—not only raising Serenity but also working over 60 hours a week in hospitality management. She is also a Certified Peer Support Specialist and mentor to incarcerated women, pouring into the lives of others while carrying the full financial weight of her daughter’s healthcare. Because of the intense financial demands of caring for Serenity over the years, no life insurance was in place.
This GoFundMe is being created to help lay Serenity to rest with honor. Funds will go toward:
• Funeral and burial/cremation expenses
• Transportation and preparation of Serenity’s body
• Any remaining medical costs
• Supporting her mother during this incredibly painful time
We are asking for your support. Whether it’s a donation of any size, or a share of this fundraiser, you can help this grieving mother give her daughter the farewell she deserves.
Let’s honor Serenity’s strength, her life, and her legacy.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Rest in power, Serenity. You will never be forgotten!
