Help Lay Scottie Hollowell to Rest

It’s with broken hearts that we share the passing of our beloved brother-in-law, Scottie Hollowell.

Scottie was a true follower of Jesus who loved everyone he met. He had a soft heart for children and older folks, and there wasn’t a person he wouldn’t help. When Scottie said he would do something, he did it — with kindness, humility, and love. He cherished his wife, my sister Lisa, beyond measure. Every time you parted ways with Scottie, he’d make sure to tell you, “I love you.”

For the last few years, Scottie fought a long and painful battle with throat cancer. Though the doctors said the cancer was gone, the radiation caused serious damage to his throat, making it nearly impossible for him to eat. Through it all, Lisa lovingly cared for him — often making his favorite homemade gravy, one of the few things he could enjoy.

Just last evening, Scottie asked Lisa to make him gravy again. After eating and sharing a quiet moment of love — a kiss on the forehead and an “I love you” — Scottie went to lie down to rest. When Lisa went to check on him later, he had already gone home to be with the Lord.

Lisa is heartbroken and lost without him. The last thing she should have to worry about right now is how to handle the financial burden of saying goodbye. We are asking for help to cover the cost of Scottie’s funeral and memorial services, so we can honor his beautiful life and give Lisa one less worry during this difficult time.

If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser or keeping our family in your prayers. Every act of kindness and love is a blessing.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us lay Scottie to rest and celebrate the incredible man he was.

With love and gratitude,
The Hollowell’s
