We are heartbroken to share that Robert “Pon” Askins tragically lost his life due to gun violence on April 18, 2025. His sudden and senseless passing has left an enormous void in the lives of everyone who knew and loved him.

Pon was a devoted father to two young boys, a loving son, and an excellent big brother to his baby sister. He was an all-around good man whose presence lit up every room. His impact on those around him was deep and lasting — he led with love, strength, and kindness in everything he did. He cared deeply for his family and his community, and he leaves behind memories that will never be forgotten.

His mother is organizing this fundraiser to help cover the funeral and memorial expenses, so Pon can be laid to rest with the love, dignity, and peace he deserves.
